Completed, a new website for Mark Anderson Photography.

A little thank you to everyone who made things happen for us this year. We’ve been blessed with great clients that we can call friends and friends that have become family. Much love and good things to you,
Kevin and Haline

Kevin has been shortlisted in the Soya Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards 2008. Now in its fifth year, SOYA recognises excellence and innovation in the arts, and gives young, talented Australians the financial and professional support they need to share their talents with the world.

Our NEO exhibition is on now at the Japan Foundation until the end of June. We had the launch last night and it went very well. Thank you to all our friends and family who made it out to support us, it means a lot to us.
The Refuge Australia Foundation, Mother Fish and Symple present:
Finding Refuge
A photographic exhibition depicting scenes of refuge in Vietnam.

Our exhibition at the Japan Foundation is fast approaching. We’ve made this neo website for all the information about it.

We’ve been working on Khoa Do’s latest theatre production, Mother Fish for the last two months and are thrilled that it’s finally coming out for everyone to see. There will be a fair amount of publicity around the show, which will hopefully bring the story of the journey of many refugees forward to a new audience. For more information or to book tickets to the show, visit www.motherfish.com.au

We begin work on our exhibition for the Japan Foundation, we are scheduled for a June launch.
fascinate: to capture the interest or hold the attention of.
facet: one of the polished plane surfaces of a cut gem.The Japan Foundation, Sydney is proud to launch its latest exhibition, Facetnate! following a grant program opened last year to support emerging visual artists whose work is strongly influenced by Japan.
Facetnate! will feature six emerging artists from different backgrounds using different artistic media (toy, film, photography, installation and architecture) to express cultural exchange between Australia and Japan.
Facetnate! provides an opportunity for these undiscovered gems to shine, as these new visual artists reveal to us the many different faces Japan has to offer.

We’ve put up a selection of the photos we took in Vietnam.

…and a happy new year to our friends and clients. Thank you for a great year - we look forward to the fun in 2008!

Haline was part of the Cut & Paste Design Tournament, making it to the semi finals. Congratulations to our good friend Matt Huynh for taking out the crown in the finals against the very talented Morten Rowley. View our Flickr photos of the night here

After a hectic six months of non-stop work, we’re taking off again – this time to Vietnam. Family duties to attend to and lots of culture soaking. See you when we get back in November!

We are honoured to be chosen by the Japan Foundation for the 2007 Support Program for New Visual Artists Grant. We will be curating a photographic exhibition in 2008 at the Japan Foundation Gallery. Domo!

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Based on the emergence of the pop street photography scene, NEOSYDNEY + NEOTOKYO is an exhibition featuring juxtaposed photos of Tokyo and Sydney as a narrative of the life and heart of the two cities. Despite polar differences in their cultures, Sydney has become a growing hub of japanese-influenced culture, and the love for Sydney by Tokions is reflected by the presence of shopfronts such as the Galleria in Circular Quay, Kinokuniya in Sydney and the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Sussex street, formerly known as the Nikko Hotel.
This project will feature street photography in the form of illuminated light boxes, mounted to walls in a dark exhibition space to give the feel of night. There will be 10 light boxes featuring juxtaosed photography and one neon sign for the title. The bright neon lights of Tokyo is the inspiration for this exhibition along with the likes of Hiromix.
RELATIVITY
By juxtaposing intimate scenes of two cities within one frame, NEOSYDNEY + NEOTOKYO creates a cultural blend that enable audiences to view subtle similarities between the Sydney and Tokyo street scenes. Despite the inherent contrast between the cultures, there are many elements that can be associated; and these associations are the beginning of a much-anticipated marriage of art and cultural exchange between Sydney and Tokyo.

Completed, 76 page My Father Laszlo exhibition catalogue for the Casula Powerhouse.
